From time to time I'm going to post a series of rough beats I've made, highlighting the particular artist I sampled the beat from.

I know a lot of beatmakers don't like revealing their sample sources (either to avoid sample clearance or to preserve the "rarity" of a particular sample) but as a beat-making "hobbyist", 1) I'm pretty sure I'm never going to be in a position where a beat I made is getting so much radio play that I need to clear a sample (I hope:) and 2) I've always felt like making a beat is kind of a tribute to the artist I was sampling the beat from.
